The Ribs of Legoland
Okay, so this is completely off topic and totally bizarre.
Friday, September 2nd, my wife and I took 9 of our 7 year old’s friends to Legoland California. We paid $32 per person for 9 kids and 3 adults( including the mother of one of the kids who wouldn’t let go.) Anyway, the park thought we were having the party at 2pm, instead of the scheduled 11:30 am we planned on. At 11: 30 my wife goes to the party place while the kids are going wild in the jungle gym play area, for lack of another term. She comes back and says that they’ve screwed it all up and they’re setting the birthday celebration up as we were speaking. Great!! We get there aroun Noon, and there are drinks there waiting for everyone along with plates forks and napkins. The food arrives, chickent nuggets, hotdogs and ribs. My wife’s comment to me as they’re serving the food was that the manager of the parks food service assured her that if any of the kids did not like the food, he would get them something else and would definitely make sure all the kids got enough to eat. Michael was his name, and food was his game. Really though, Michael was a big guy, and I’m a big guy, and he was a BIG guy to me. Enough said on that. So the “jewel” of the birthday experience is that the ribs are a recipe of Michael’s mother and they serve them at the park. They were the BEST RIBS THAT I HAVE EVER HAD. There were two types of sauces, smoky and sweet and they were incredible!! The wife, friend and I were so stuffed with ribs after ward, we were waddling out of the place. Though my wife is pregnant, so she waddles most of every day.
So, for the entire group of 12 people, 9 children, and three adults, I spent a total of $390 for a birthday party at Legoland that was highlighted by ribs that were served at lunch.
Please, go there and get the ribs. They can be had at the Knight’s Kingdom area of the park and are worth the admission. Also get the apple fries with the vanilla whip cream topping!!
Good night and keep on podcasting!!
I’m going to bed.
