Podcast Kit: M-Audio
M-Audio has created a kit to get recording your podcast quickly. The kit includes software, microphone, cable, and USB audio interface. Though they have left out the headphones for monitoring, strange. Anyway, for approx. $150 (+$20 for headphones) you get all the gear necessary to start podcasting. Add one (1) computer and libsyn.com account and you’re golden.
The microphone input seems to be a 1/4″ jack, only because it doesn’t mention an XLR connector (kind of a dead giveaway) but that looks like it’s the only caveat.
