Step Up to Firewire
You’ve purchased a mixer. Check. You’ve purchased a microphone. Check. You’ve purchased headphones. Check. Now you need to get the sound into the computer. Are you going to trust your podcast to the line-in jack on your computer. I know I don’t. Check out the Behringer FCA202. It’s a firewire audio interface that has two balanced inputs, left and right, to get your audio into the computer cleanly. It’s firewire bus powered but also comes with an external power supply. Recording software is also included for $80. Damn good deal.
