Podcasting with NO Money
I just got done answering some questions on Podcast Pickle in the forums. Somebody told this guy he had to spend money to podcast. I take offense to that. It is definitely easier to podcast when you spend a little money on it. It will definitely sound better. If you have a way to get audio into your computer, either by microphone or by external recorder, then there is no reason you can’t podcast for free. Here are the steps:
Step 1: Record on whatever you have. Free (or at least already purchased)
Step 2: Encode as MP3. Free
Step 3: Sign up and upload to Archive.org. Free
Step 4: Sign up for Blogger, post link to mp3 file in post. Free
Step 5: Sign up for Feedburner, enable Smartcast. Free
Step 6: Take your $5 to Taco Bell and have a feast. The cheesy bean and rice burrito is delicious.
Step 6 was in reference to the $5/month fee for LibSyn hosting. And yes, the burritos are delicious, if not extremely fattening.
