Talk Shoe: Interactive Podcasting

Interactive podcasting is the buzzword over at Talk Shoe. The company provides you a phone number to call and interact LIVE with the hosts of the shows that are being recorded right then. The new TWiT show, Net@Night, was recorded this past Sunday for the first time using Talk Shoe. I recently called in to Dan Klass’ live show and also to Victor Cajiao’s Typical Mac User show. It was too easy.
Head on over to the site, sign up, download the Talk Shoe Live! client. (I believe it’s Java based) and start interacting with the hosts of the shows. You can also chat with the other listeners. It’s a hell of a good time.
You don’t need a microphone, you don’t need a mixer, you don’t need headphones. All you need is a phone to call in, and the ability to navigate to the web site and click on the show you’d like to listen to and interact with. And if you’d like to host your own podcast on Talk Shoe, that’s available to you as well. And it’s the exact same procedure to host as it is to call in, you just get to decide who’s going to get “on the air”. The episodes are available for download from their site and are also available in iTunes. They will also pay you for it!
Check it out!
