What is blubrry?

So what is blubrry? From their FAQ, their a “community”, don’t call them a directory. They have listing requirements, here they are:
-
1. Make available one 30 second advertising spot on your show for us to negotiate on your behalf. By aggregating shows and leveraging combined audiences across the network, we can help you become much more attractive to potential advertisers. We even give you the right to refuse any advertising we may bring to the table.
2. Mention that you are a member of Blubrry at some point during your show.
So somewhere in your podcast you mention that you are a member at blubrry.com blah, blah, blah, and hope that sometime in the future, you’ll receive advertising through them and you’ll make money. Good premise, meanwhile while you’re mentioning blubrry on all your podcasts, they’re not giving you anything except a listing in their “community”.
I’ve listed the Fat Guy Radio show on the service, so we’ll see what happens. Wish me luck.
Also part of their service is the ability to create a custom RSS feed of your favorite shows that are listed on blubrry. Nice feature. Check it out at http://www.blubrry.com.
Peace,
Russ
