Overstock, Clearance and Blems
In the world of podcasting, sound quality is the thing you strive for. The visual appearance, while it may give you warm fuzzies looking at all your cool gear, is second on the list. Here is a portion of an e-mail that I received from Musician’s Friend today:
“Our Clearance Center is overflowing with $7,079,371 worth of overstocks, refurbs, returns, and discontinued gear. With many items on sale below original cost…”
If you’re looking to spend some money on podcast gear, look and see if it’s in the clearance section of your local store, or check out the clearance and blemished sections of your favorite online store. You will definitely save some money, and you may be able to get that better piece of equipment with the discount.
