Podcast of the Week: Quarter Share
I love a good audio book. I’m subscribed, thanks to Leo Laporte, to Audible.com and I’ve already “read” more books in the last 3 months than I did in all of the rest of 2007. While the plan I’m on at Audible allows me one book a month, there is a free alternative to get books in audio form and that’s Podiobooks.com. Serialized audiobooks delivered via custom RSS feeds. It’s a great service.
Which leads me to the podcast of the week, Quarter Share, by Nathan Lowell . Scott Sigler mentioned Quarter Share either in his podcast as a promo, or on his blog, but the name stuck in my head. So when I was looking for a new podiobook to consume, I jumped on this one and have not been disappointed. Here’s the description form the PodioBooks web site.

I’m just into episode number 5 and it really has me hooked. It appeals to the Trekkie in me and if I had to pick which Star Trek series that it reminded me of, it would have to be Deep Space Nine. Definitely futuristic, but so familiar in ways. I’m excited to see where it’s going.
