Security Now! Podcast Setup
I was checking out the TWiT podcast equipment page and realized that I have the same exact equipment here at at the home studio that Steve Gibson uses on his end of the Secuity Now! podcast. Steve uses a Heil PR40 attached to a M-Audio Fasttrack Pro. I’ll be recording the next Fat 2 Fit Radio, show #33, with this setup.
I normally use an MXL 990 with the Tascam US-122. This has been my favorite podcast setup for quite a while now. I really like the sound of the PR-40, but it requires a lot of gain and really clean pre-amps. Up until now none of the interfaces or mixers in the house haven’t fit the bill. So far everything is sounding great.
