Who is The Podcast Studio? Good question. I’m a podcaster. I started podcasting with equipment that I had from years of being in bands and then started testing out and using more and more sophisticated equipment. Some of the equipment recommended here on The Podcast Studio I own personally. Other equipment that I don’t own has been recommended to me by a trusted source or I’ve used in either a recording or live performance situation. Still other links are just items that I think are cool. You’ll also find links to articles on podcasting as well as some small tutorials and how-to’s to help get you started in podcasting.
About me, I’m a 36 year old engineering designer in Long Beach, CA. I’m married to my high school sweetheart Laurie, and on Dec. 21, 2007 we celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary. (If you do the math there it doesn’t make sense, but college took a long time.) We have 4 kids, Adam (9), Matthew (3 1/2), Nathan (3 1/2) and Andrew (23 mos.). I currently have a couple of podcast projects going, though only one on any kind of regular basis. Here’s the list:
- Fat 2 Fit Radio is a weekly podcast with co-host Jeff Ainslie where we talk about fitness and dieting.
- Fat Fuy Radio was a mostly weekly podcast that I did by myself.
- Kringle Cast was going to be a month long podcast about Santa Claus and his new media elves but I got sick and unmotivated when almost no one called in and I received no e-mails.
- The Podcast Studio is mostly a blog with a short podcast associated with it. You’re here right now!
- Love Muscle is a tumble log where I post videos and quotes and stuff that doesn’t need commenting on.
- TweetURL is a URL shortening service that I contracted out to a guy on Rent-a-Coder, however it’s incomplete and the guy flaked on me. But it still works, mostly.
