Podcasting in Plain English

Common Craft creates some wonderful explanations of technology in “plain english”. I saw this one linked to today on Twitter.

It’s a very good explanation. Almost better than the Ask a Ninja, ninja. You can get the transcripts here and check out more explanations at Common Craft.

Podcast of the Week: The Bitterest Pill

So last week, I got to finally get down the the monthly Meetup for the Orange County Podcasters. The speaker at the meeting was Dan Klass of The Bitterest Pill. I’ve had a The Bitterest Pill in a couple of posts, see below, including the Podcast of the Week in September ‘05. [...]

Recording Screencasts with Camtasia Studio

I found this video via the New Media Expo Newsletter. They included some how-to links in the newsletter. One was how to record screencasts with Camtasia Studio. The video was created as part of the web site Demogirl.com. If you have something to share and don’t have the ability to do [...]

Getting the Best Audio out of Skype

In December, Doug Kaye and Paul Figgiani recorded the demonstration and how-to below. The demo is how to get the best call quality with Skype. Right around minute 13:00 I figured out why my Skype quality has been suffering, my PC is not fast enough. Plus the same computer records the conversation. [...]

Joel Witt: MarylandZoo.TV

Joel Witt’s presentation showing the Podcamp Socal audience Maryland Zoo TV was one of the highlights of Podcamp. I ended up getting the stomach flu for 3/4 of the Podcast Expo, so Podcamp was the highlight of my whole weekend.

What is podcasting? Ask a Ninja

What does a Ninja have to say about podcasting? Plenty. Did you know that podcasting is akin to a factory making apple pies for whales? No, then check out this early podcast from Ask a Ninja.

Video Kick

Okay, so I’m on this video kick. I think I’m going to produce a series of how-to video podcasts. The first one will be geared toward telephone interviews via Skype. Meanwhile, I’m scouring YouTube to find what podcasting videos are out there. Here’s one on recording with Audacity.
